ICMME 2026 has been Successfully Held！

The 2026 5th International Conference on Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering (ICMME 2026) was successfully held in Dalian from October 16 to 18, 2026. Hosted by Dalian Jiaotong University, organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering and Zhan Tianyou College (CRRC College) of Dalian Jiaotong University. Supported by the University of Haute-Alsace-France and the Nanotechnology and Multifunctional Structures Research Center (NMSRC).

Centered on the theme of "Mechanical Manufacturing & Design, Mechatronics", the conference aimed to build a face-to-face platform for experts, scholars and engineering technicians from universities, research institutes and enterprises worldwide to exchange experience, present cutting-edge research findings, explore potential cooperation opportunities and boost the development of scientific research.

Professor Xiaofeng Li, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Dalian Jiaotong University, presided over the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Bingzhi Chen, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Dalian Jiaotong University, China, delivered the opening address. He extended a warm welcome to all domestic and overseas scholars joining online and on-site. He looked forward to in-depth academic exchanges and discussions among participants and wished the conference a great success.

In the keynote session, a number of well-known experts and scholars delivered speeches and shared frontier insights and research achievements.

Professor Renke Kang from Dalian University of Technology shared Machining and Measurement Technologies of Composite Honeycomb Cores.

Professor Tien-Chien Jen from the University of Johannesburg delivered the report Advancing Green Hydrogen Production through ALD-Enhanced Membraneless Seawater Electrolyzers.

Professor Lijia Pan from Nanjing University presented The Origin and Development of Bionics Electronics.

Professor Mingguo Zhao from Tsinghua University gave a speech titled Brain-Inspired Locomotion and Manipulation of Humanoid Robots.

Professor Yingxiang Liu from Harbin Institute of Technology shared Recent Progress of Piezoelectric Actuators and Piezoelectric Robots.

Professor Jingchuan Wang, Assistant to the President of Dalian Jiaotong University, presented Key Technologies of Train Intelligent Inspection Robots in Complex Operation and Maintenance Scenarios.

Professor Hongpeng Zhang from Dalian Maritime University delivered Application and Prospect of Oil Condition Monitoring Sensors in Marine Equipment.

Associate Professor Muhammad Junaid from China University of Mining and Technology shared Numerical Arc Modeling and Analysis of the Current Interruption Characteristics of Liquid Nitrogen Switch Integrated with R-SFCL.

Professor Yunxian Cui from Dalian Jiaotong University presented Technology and Applications of Ultrafast-Response Thin-Film Temperature Sensors in Complex Environments.

Associate Professor Kazem Abhary from the University of South Australia gave the report Rapid Matrix Formulation of Lumped-Parameter Torsional Vibratory Systems via Rectilinear Modelling, Achievable within Minutes.

The conference also arranged oral presentations for young scholars. Young researchers from Chang'an University, Dalian Jiaotong University, Xihua University, Tianjin Automotive Data Co., Ltd. and other institutions shared their latest outcomes in basic research and engineering applications of mechanical engineering and mechatronics, fully demonstrating the innovative vitality and research enthusiasm of young talents in the field of mechanical, mechatronic and intelligent manufacturing.

During the conference, participants listened attentively to academic reports and carried out in-depth discussions based on the presentations.

Besides keynote speeches and oral presentation, a poster exhibition was set up to display academic posters submitted by scholars from Tianjin Chengjian University, Nanjing University, South China University of Technology, Heilongjiang University of Technology and other organizations.

At the closing session, Excellent Paper Awards and Excellent Poster Awards were presented, marking a successful conclusion of the conference.

Participants conducted thorough academic exchanges on frontier topics including mechatronics, mechanical design, intelligent manufacturing and robot applications, and shared the latest research outcomes and practical engineering experience. Serving as a high-quality international exchange platform for researchers and industrial practitioners, the conference will advance interdisciplinary innovation and technology transformation in mechatronics, intelligent manufacturing and robotic technologies.
